HPE Data Science Institute home building officially receives new name

On April 26, the Multidisciplinary Research and Engineering Building officially received a new name. It is now known as the Durga D and Sushila Agrawal Engineering Research Building after prominent, long-time Houstonians and supporters of the University of Houston.

The dedication event featured research presentations from HPE Data Science Institute affiliated faculty and students and tours through the institute’s impressive high performance computing server room. Guests from Hewlett Packard Enterprises, which the institute is named for, were also in attendance.

"The Hewlett Packard Enterprise Data Science Institute is grateful to be housed in the Durga D and Sushila Agrawal Engineering Research Building, which includes a modern data center that is providing ample space as we expand into this exciting new area," said Claudia Neuhauser, Ph.D., director of the HPE Data Science Institute.
