NSM Provides Students with Fuel for Finals
Faculty and Alumni Lend Support
This time of year, students need a little energy boost to help with finals. That’s exactly what they got from the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM) on May 6.
NSM faculty and alumni volunteers gave out bottled water and snacks to students during peak times in the NSM finals schedule. More than 600 students stopped by the tent between Science & Research Building 1 and the Science and Engineering Classrooms.
“This first-time event was a nice surprise for the students and fun for the faculty and alumni staffing the tables,” said Dan E. Wells, NSM dean. “We wanted to show support for our students during this critical time of year.”
In addition to the snacks, one lucky student won a $50 Barnes and Noble gift card. NSM hopes to hold a similar event in the fall.
