Integrity is one of our core RISE values, and it is a core personal value that was instilled by my parents when I was a child. Personal integrity is about more than honesty and telling the truth, it is about living one’s life in a manner that reflects one’s core beliefs and values. Integrity is about being transparent and genuine. Personal integrity builds trust, and trust is fundamental to strong interpersonal relationships. Physician integrity is a key component of strong physician-patient relationships. And integrity in individual team members is fundamental to highly functional teams. Let’s continue to role model integrity in our relationships with our families, our patients, and each other!
