12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
This
piano
recital
will
feature
some
of
the
most
beloved
by
audiences
works
inspired
by
nature:
Schumann’s
Forest
Scenes,
Beethoven’s
“Moonlight”
and
Rachmaninov’s
“Musical
Moments”.
At
this
time
of
uncertainty
and
turmoil
the
nature
around
us
serves
as
a
source
of
peace,
reflection
and
beauty.
Robert
Schumann
was
inspired
by
the
mystery
and
wonders
of
the
forest
while
writing
his
“Forest
Scenes”
and
Beethoven’s
audiences
imagined
a
magnificent
moonlight
when
listening
to
his
Sonata
op.

no.
2.
Similarly
to
mother
nature’s
creation,
Rachmaninov’s
set
of
6
Musical
Moments
are
a
monumental
work
full
of
dramatic
contrasts,
unique
colors
and
impressive
virtuosity.
