Artist Talk: Brandon Thibodeaux

The UH Photography and Digital Media Program will present an artist talk by photographer Brandon Thibodeaux. Known around the country for his fine art and editorial work, Thibodeaux will speak about his current projects and how the relate to both journalism and the documentary tradition.

About the Artist
Brandon Thibodeaux is a photographer and educator based in Houston, Texas, who creates portraits in the documentary tradition. In addition to his assignment work and creative commissions, he explores life in the American South. His project, "In That Land of Perfect Day," has been featured by numerous publications including American Photo Magazine, B+W Magazine, Garden & Gun, PDN, Port Magazine, Oxford American, The New York Times Lens Blog, Time.com and The Washington Post.

His work is included in the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the High Museum of Art, Atlanta, the Museum of Photographic Arts, San Diego, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans and various private collections. Learn more at https://www.brandonthibodeaux.com/.
