Fragments of Fiction Concert: Electro-Acoustic Music & Public Art at MD Anderson Library

Experience new electronic music works by UH student composers, inspired by public artworks at the MD Anderson Library: Randy Twaddle’s Shine and Rise (2007) and Jim Sanborn’s A Comma, A (2003), Pliny’s Papyrus (2003), and Fragments of Fiction (2003).

Featuring music by students in Dr. Chapman Welch’s Electronic Music Class:

  • Luke Brinkley
  • Jaime Morales
  • Larry Penna

Light refreshments are provided. Presented by Public Art of the University of Houston System in partnership with the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston.

 

PARKING

Visitor parking is available in the UH Welcome Center Garage (third and fourth level) located at 4434 University Drive. Payment can be made via credit card and cash. Current visitor parking rates are available on the UH Visitor Parking Rates page

 

WALKING DIRECTIONS

Upon parking in the Welcome Center Garage, take the north-west elevator exit leading towards University Drive. Turn left to proceed westward on University Drive, following the designated path to MD Anderson Library. The pathway is paved to comply with ADA standards.
