Moores School of Music 26th Annual Jazz Festival Concert

The University of Houston Moores School of Music is pleased to presents the 26th annual Jazz Festival. Join us in celebrating 26 years of extraordinary jazz at the University of Houston with two nights of can’t-miss concerts on February 23 & 24 in Moores Opera House.
About the Jazz Festival: The Moores School Jazz Festival is an adjudicated festival that offers performance critiques by a panel of professional jazz educators/performers. Each ensemble will perform on the stage of the Moores Opera House, receive a high-quality post-performance clinic with one of the adjudicators and receive a recording of their performance. In addition, the ensembles are eligible to receive individual All-Star Awards, Outstanding soloist recognition, and Outstanding Ensemble trophies. A new feature we will offer this year will be an opportunity for the outstanding soloist award winners to perform on a concert on March 18, 2024, with the Moores School Jazz Orchestra. The concert will be titled “Houston Jazz All-Stars.”
