Convergence Research: “Harmony of Nature” featuring Angela Lai

Join us for the first Convergence Research performance of the semester, “Harmony of Nature,” with flutist Wen-Hsiu Angela Lai. Angela, a doctorial student of Musical Art in Moores School of Music, was recently named a finalist alternative in the 2022 National Flute Association Young Artist Competition and was awarded the grand prize in the University of Houston Concerto Competition—among numerous other accolades!

greater
appreciation
for
nature
as
you
experience
the
interconnectedness
of
all
things.

Tania
Candiani’s
“Lifeblood”
exhibition.

Convergence Research is curated by graduate assistant Ji Won Chun.
Convergence Research is a collaboration between the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts and the Blaffer Art Museum. It is a platform for experimentation and research for students and faculty of all disciplines in the McGovern College of the Arts with the goal of creating more opportunities for connection between the disciplines. Convergence Research supports interdisciplinary inquiry and techniques to stimulate creative process and cultivate works that are performative, temporary and in any stage of process. Convergence Research is curated by Arts Leadership Graduate Assistant Ji Won Chun.
