I am a third-year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program working with Dr. Nathan Grant Smith. I grew up in Florida and received my B.A. in Women’s Studies from the University of Florida. I went on to earn my M.S.Ed. in Education, Culture, and Society from the University of Pennsylvania, and my master’s research focused on the experiences of LGBTQ youth in K-12 schools. While working full-time in higher education and student affairs for a few years, I was a part-time research assistant in the Disability and Social Interaction Lab at Oregon State University and studied the stigma experiences of people with rare diseases. My current research interests are centered around LGBTQ people with eating disorders, eating disorder treatment experiences, healthcare stigma, and ableism. I am completing my 2021-2022 practicum at University of Houston- Clear Lake Counseling Services.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, watching Netflix/Hulu, and trying new restaurants around town.
