ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The program is a partnership between the UH College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the UH College of Education.
Length of master's program: 14 months
Degree received: Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a STEM emphasis
Instruction model: hybrid online and face-to-face classes, conducive to a working teacher’s schedule
Courses and coaching will focus on topics such as:
- Understanding the significance of students’ cultural and educational experiences to inform STEM teaching and learning;
- Developing teacher leadership skills;
- The roles of technology and inquiry-based instruction in STEM education; and
- Engineering design.
