Commencement Tickets

Tickets will be required for all commencement ceremonies taking place at the University of Houston. Tickets will be distributed to the graduating students to their UH ticketing account closer to the start of the ceremonies. Each graduate will receive six (6) electronic tickets. Graduates themselves will not require a ticket.  Children two (2) years of age and under will not require tickets.

All commencement tickets are complimentary, and any unused tickets should be returned to the commencement ticket pool. The selling of commencement tickets is not condoned by the University and could constitute a violation of the Student Code of Conduct. Failure to comply with this directive will result in a referral to the Dean of Students Office. 

Once your digital graduation tickets are loaded to your online account you will be able to transfer your tickets to the individuals that you want to attend your commencement ceremony.

In order to transfer tickets, please use your @cougarnet.uh.edu email address to login to your account. You will then have the option to transfer tickets via email or mobile phone number. 

Those receiving your tickets will need to create an account in order to receive them.

Creating an Account: If the recipient does not already have a UH Ticketing Account, they will need to create one to receive tickets.  If your guest(s) already have an account, the system will recognize their email address at login.

Commencement Guest Ticket Lottery

Need additional guest tickets? Students interested in entering the commencement guest ticket lottery to receive additional tickets can submit a request​ for more tickets. A link will be provided to submit your request for additional commencement guest tickets.

Spring 2025 Lottery 

Opens on Monday, March 24 at 10:00am
Closes on Friday, March 28 at 11:59pm

Results will be emailed by end of day on Friday, April 4

 

Please note, the availability of extra tickets is not guaranteed and depends on the number of graduates and amount of returned or unclaimed tickets; please plan accordingly.  Entering the lottery does not guarantee your participation in commencement. Make sure your graduation application is submitted and approved. Email inquiries will not be considered for additional tickets.

Students will be notified of the commencement lottery results via email. If selected, your additional tickets will be available for pickup at the Graduation Celebration on Thursday, April 10 from 10:00am - 4:00pm at the University of Houston Campus Store located at 4455 University Dr #130, Houston, TX 77204 in the Student Center South.

How to Transfer

Transferring Tickets-

  1. Log on to the UHCougars.com/MyAccount webpage
  2. From the My Tickets page, select the game to access your tickets
  3. Select Transfer
  4. Check the box next to the ticket(s) you'd like to transfer
  5. Enter the mobile number or email address of the person you'd like to receive the tickets
  6. Review the transfer and select Transfer Tickets at the bottom of the screen
