Ilex Beltran Najera

Ilex Beltran-Najera, M.A.

Ilex obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from San Diego State University.  She is a fourth-year student who is interested in the cultural and functional aspects of the clinical neuropsychology of aging with chronic medical conditions.

Andrea Mustafa, M.A.

Andrea is a third-year student who obtained her bachelor’s degree from Henderson State University and a master’s degree in psychology from San Diego State University. She is interested in using a multimodal approach to understand cognitive function in underrepresented communities and identify gaps in ethnic minority representation in aging research.


Jennifer Thompson

Jennifer L. Thompson, M.A.

Jennifer received her B.A. in psychology from Loyola Marymount University. She is a fifth-year student in UH’s clinical psychology Ph.D. program (clinical neuropsychology major), currently on internship at the West LA VA. Her interests are in cognitive aging and everyday functioning.


Gomez

Elliott Gomez, M.A.

Elliott is a second-year student who obtained his B.S. in Psychobiology from UCLA, an MEd in international education from the Universidad de Alca de Hanares, and an MA in Neuropsychology from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. He is interested in HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders, health literacy and rehabilitation in under-served populations.

Natalie Ridgely, M.A.

Natalie is a fourth-year student who obtained a B.S. in Neuroscience from Muhlenberg College and an M.A. in Psychological Science from Catholic University of America. Her research interests are broad and include emerging findings on the potential role of neuropsychological factors in encouraging appropriate preventative actions during weather emergencies. Natalie’s clinical work is primarily in the area of pediatric neuropsychology.


Penheiro

Romi Penheiro, M.Cog.Sc.

Romi is a first-year student who obtained his B.S. in Neuroscience and Psychology from University of Toronto and an master’s in cognitive science from Carleton University. He is interested in improving health, functional independence, and well-being in older adults.
