Mentorship Program
Honors Mentors
The Honors College Mentorship Program debuted in the fall of 2010 with the aim of easing the transition from high school to college by providing support to new Honors College students during their first semester. The program fosters new students’ sense of community within the Honors College and gives them the resources necessary to successfully navigate both the social and academic aspects of college life.
By grouping incoming students with experienced upperclassmen as their mentors, students cultivate the relationships vital to a successful college experience. New students will meet their mentors for the first time at the Honors Retreat, and a calendar of fun and exciting events gives ample opportunities for students to become a part of the Honors community.
Want to be an Honors Mentor?
The Honors College Mentorship application opens on November 1 each year! Honors Mentors introduce incoming students to Honors life through weekly check-ins and fun activities, both on and off campus.
