Requirements to Declare
Applicant must have at least a  2.5 cumulative GPA in 15 or more hours at UH, and must have at least sophomore standing (30+ hours) to declare the minor. 

To declare the minor, click on “Apply for the E & S Minor” in the right-hand column.

Requirements to Graduate with the Minor
A 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA in all courses attempted for the minor is required for graduation. All required courses and electives for the minor are included in this calculation. The complete list of Approved Electives gives students from around campus opportunities to learn broadly about two of the key issues of the 21st century: energy development and environmental stewardship. Students may complete a maximum of 6 hours of elective coursework from any one area.
