Students

For its academically talented undergraduates, the Honors College offers a supportive small-college environment within a great metropolitan university. Our students are part of an elite group of scholars whose enthusiasm for materials covered within our coursework can be felt throughout the Honors College's hallways and Commons.

To a large extent, the mission of the Honors College is to complement all undergraduate degree plans at the University of Houston, as a way to stress the importance of a well-balanced education: The Honors College endorses a full-spectrum liberal education so students will be able to think critically and communicate effectively in and outside the academic hemisphere. Furthermore, the Honors College houses some of the University's finest faculty who readily work individually with students to build a stimulating intellectual environment designed to encourage creativity and acuity of mind.

The Honors College provides several resources to guide and facilitate the progress of its undergraduate students. In the Current Students section, find the tools you need to make decisions about your degree plan, finances and residence, as well as important forms and information about graduation. If you are a prospective student, resources to help you with your college decision, application and matriculation are found in the Prospective Students section of this site.
