Goal 3: Social Responsibility
Serve as an Exemplar for Community Engagement
Jalyce Taylor, one of the Tilman J. Fertitta College of Medicine’s first graduates, became a physician to provide much-needed care to medically underserved communities.
“I want to be the physician that knows community resources, knows how to bring people together and knows that health does not just start and end within my clinic, but it’s a lifestyle that I can help my patients create.”
Taylor is one example of the many students, faculty and staff who will help UH be an exemplar of community engagement. By increasing its social responsibility initiatives, UH can make an impact that will last for generations.
