Tips
- Make sure to keep in touch with the OISSS office and give them any updates/ changes to your status
- Try to read through the requirements for your visa type to ensure that you are always up to date with the most current visa requirements.
- Remember to get your 1-20 signed once a year whether or not you have plans to travel. It is also always a good idea to keep your visa stamp current, that way you do not have to worry about waiting 5 business days when you do need to travel.
- Always request your Enrollment Letter at least one month before you need it.
- Use Concurrent Enrollment to bring down the cost of your basic ( math, English, Science, History and Political science) courses. Language courses are better at UH.
- Take classes as you are able, if you find yourself in your final semester you can just fill out the reduced course load request form
- Not all $1000 scholarships give you automatic in state tuition, so please find out about the
