MATH 1300
Am I required to enroll in MATH 1300? |
No. TSI Incomplete students are not required to enroll in MATH 1300. However, they may do so, but only if their ABE score is between (1-4).
TSI Incomplete students are allowed to enroll in MATH 1100 regardless of ABE level. Students that enroll in MATH 1100 (there are 4 separate sections corresponding to the specific courses listed below), must enroll in one of the following corequisite MATH 13xx courses:
- 1314 [College Algebra (Previously MATH 1310)]
- 1324 [Finite Math with Applications (Previously MATH 1313)]
- 1332 [Elementary Mathematical Modeling (Previously MATH 1311)]
- 1342 [Elementary Statistical Methods (Previously MATH 2311)]
Who can enroll in MATH 1300? |
The state of Texas now requires 100% of TSI Incomplete students to be enrolled in a corequisite model (i.e. MATH 1100), except those who are exempt (ABE score 1-4). TSI Incomplete students who are exempt may (but do not have to) enroll in a non-corequisite model (i.e. MATH 1300).
