Discussion Groups are a fun, engaging way to connect with others in the LGBTQ+ community on campus.
The groups are led by trained peer facilitators and provide a safe space for students to share experiences and support each other. Students form relationships that last beyond the group.
The groups also offer students the opportunity to explore social identities (i.e. transgender, lesbian, man, etc.). Each group has its own set of broad discussion topics and some fun activities that challenge students to expand their knowledge and develop their identities relative to their place in the world.
The types of groups vary each semester but have included:
- LGBTQ+ General
- Queer / Trans Students of Color
- Transgender / Nonbinary
Please see our calendar for the current Discussion Group schedule.
