It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the University of Houston. As one of the most diverse universities in the country, you are becoming a part of a larger community that enthusiastically serves the individual needs of each unique student. We are extremely excited that you have joined the University of Houston and I want you to know the Division of Student Affairs is dedicated to your success. We strive to provide a safe and inclusive campus for all of our students.

We are committed to honoring the diversity that is here in order for students to experience the best possible learning environment. We are doing all we can to ensure you receive the best education possible where the talents and skills you bring with you can be developed and enhanced. Therefore, the Division of Student Affairs supports the work of the LGBTQ Resource Center so they can support you socially and academically. In addition there are LGBTQ allies throughout the campus who are there to support you and assist you anyway they can.
