Use of the University of Houston's Wi-Fi networks to enable Wi-Fi calling on mobile devices.


Who Might Use This?

Anyone within the central campus vicinity can use the UH Wi-Fi networks to enable WiFi calling on their mobile devices.


Request this service:

If you have already enabled Wi-Fi calling on your devices then simply connect to the University’s Wi-Fi, your device will automatically switch calling functionality to the strongest signal available.


More About This Service

Cellular carrier use of Wi-Fi calling while roaming in building or between floors is not just dependent on Wi-Fi coverage but the cellular carrier technology to maintain calls as your devices jumps from one Wi-Fi AP to the other. The same is true for Wi-Fi AP to a cellular tower. Your calling experience will vary.
