Debbie Samuels

Debbie Samuels is the Director of Enterprise IT Security Projects for the University of Houston System and has worked in the Division of Administration and Finance for thirteen years. Debbie is a UH alumna with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and a Master of Science in Management Information System from Houston Christian College formerly Houston Baptist University. Debbie also serves on the UH Staff Council as co-chair of the Staff Empowerment Committee.

Homecoming is a special time for reuniting with fellow classmates, new alumni, family and friends.
As a UH student and alumna (’90), Debbie met her husband who was a UH student athlete at the time while living in the UH residences halls. They later married at the A.D. Bruce Center and had their reception at the beautiful UH Hilton hotel and now have a daughter who is also a UH alumna, who recently graduated in 2020 and was a UH student athlete in track and field. Homecoming brings that deep since of passion and pride in our family for the University of Houston. “The UH Coog spirit, pride and legacy exemplifies even more so for me and my family during homecoming week.
