The Women and Gender Resource Center (WGRC) at the University of Houston is excited to welcome Toria Jones as the new Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention Program Manager. In this vital role, Toria will spearhead initiatives to empower and educate students on key issues, including consent, healthy relationships, and violence prevention. Her passion for advocacy and commitment to fostering a safer campus community make her an outstanding fit for this promotion in WGRC.
Toria is no stranger to the UH community, having served at the university for the past three years. She is also currently pursuing her master’s degree at the Graduate College of Social Work, further deepening her knowledge and dedication to supporting others. Previously, she excelled as the Sexual Misconduct Support Services Manager, where she provided compassionate support to individuals impacted by sexual assault, harassment, dating/domestic violence, and stalking. In her new position, Toria brings a wealth of experience, empathy, and fresh ideas to advance the WGRC’s mission.

Toria’s leadership comes at a time when education, awareness, and support for healthy relationships and violence prevention are more important than ever. The programs she will develop and lead will provide UH students with tools to build stronger, healthier connections while promoting a culture of safety and respect across campus.
