The college experience is a fun but also stressful time for both students and family. This workshop explores ways to manage the necessary balance between supporting your student while providing the independence that is critical for their success in college. If you are unsure how to support your student because either you didn’t attend college or this is the first of your children to attend college then this session will be of great support to you. The UH LGBTQ Resource Center and Women and Gender Resource Center (WGRC) invites families and students to the centers to meet the staff, visit the space, and learn about our resources and services related to gender equity, gender diversity, LGBTQIA+ student support and more. We will have light refreshments, activities and prizes. -

Family BBQ with the Division of Student Affairs*, TDECU Stadium Club

UH Game Day Celebration, Please look for the “Family Weekend Tent” located at South Side of TDECU, grassy area near Gate #4
All families are invited to join us at the UH Family Tailgate (please refer to the map inside your Guidebook). Our celebration includes music, UH band appearance, and visits with Shasta! A multitude of activities will be going-on so pick and choose what you and your family would like to participate in or just sit back and relax over good conversation and food.
