    Family Weekend Check-in and Family Headquarters, Student Center South - Bayou City Room
    All registered participants should check in to pick up your packets, including the Guide to Family Weekend, wristbands, tickets and other goodies! Stop by this location anytime you need assistance or just want to take a break. Sponsored by The Dean of Students Office. **All families are strongly encouraged to check-in on Friday!

    Explore Your Cougar Pathway to Success! Meet and Greet With University Career Services!, Student Services Center 1 (first floor)
    Join University Career Services to learn about exploring related pathways to success, enhancing your students’ resume and cover letter, and practice interviewing skills for their job/internship search. You can also meet our Executive Director and receive your free giveaway! Sponsored by University Career Services

    Jumah Friday Prayer, Atrium – 220 A.D. Bruce Religion Center
    The Muslim Student Association hosts weekly Friday Prayer every week in the A.D. Bruce Religion Center. Please feel free to stop and participate in this scheduled prayer activity.

    Caring From Afar: What you need to know to help create a positive transition to UH for your student and yourself, Student Center North - Senate Chamber Room, Room 204
    The college experience is a fun but also stressful time for both students and family. This workshop explores ways to manage the necessary balance between supporting your student while providing the independence that is critical for their success in college. If you are unsure how to support your student because either you didn’t attend college or this is the first of your children to attend college then this session will be of great support to you. Sponsored by Counseling and Psychological Services and UH Wellness

    Our UH Ambassadors are here to show you what makes us a great university! Meet at the Welcome Center for a Family Weekend campus tour to learn more about our resources, history and traditions. Sponsored by The Office of Admissions

    Family Weekend Open House, Student Center North - Room 201
    The UH LGBTQ Resource Center and Women and Gender Resource Center (WGRC) invites families and students to the centers to meet the staff, visit the space, and learn about our resources and services related to gender equity, gender diversity, LGBTQIA+ student support and more. We will have light refreshments, activities and prizes.

    Veteran and Veteran Affiliated Open House, Student Center North - Room 202
    Join the Veterans Services staff for light refreshments. Staff will be available to answer questions about Veterans Administration education benefits.

    Coog Moms Happy Hour*, TDECU Stadium Tailgate area between Gates 1 & 2
    Have you already joined the newest affinity group at UH, Coog Moms? If so, this event is for you!     Stadium opens, TDECU Stadium
    Family members will be directed to be seated by 5:30 pm for Family Weekend picture, address from Dr. Daniel Maxwell, Interim Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, UH System, and Interim Vice President for Student Affairs, UH, and band performance. Beverages available for purchase at concessions.

  • 6:00pm – 8:30 pm

    Family BBQ with the Division of Student Affairs*, TDECU Stadium Club
    All family members are invited to our annual BBQ event. We will celebrate fellowship and UH success at this exciting event! Dinner and beverages will be provided. Sponsored by The Dean of Students Office

    Stadium Self-Guided Tour, TDECU Stadium
    Athletics staff will be positioned around the stadium in known destinations to allow access and information about the stadium.

    Family Weekend Photo Booth, TDECU Stadium Club
    Join your family in the Family Weekend photo booth with props or just your smiling faces to capture some great photos and walk away with memories and a free photo strip to keep for each person.

    Family Movie Night, Lynn Eusan Park
    You are invited to join the Student Programming Board for Minions: The Rise of Gru screening and popcorn. Sponsored by the Student Programming Board

    Family Weekend Check-in and Family Headquarters, Student Center South - Bayou City Room
    If you just arrived, please stop by the registration room to pick up your packets, including the Guide to Family Weekend, all-access wristbands, and other goodies! (*this is for families who were not able to check in on Friday)

  • 2:00pm – 4:00 pm

    UH Game Day Celebration, Please look for the “Family Weekend Tent” located at South Side of TDECU, grassy area near Gate #4
    All families are invited to join us at the UH Family Tailgate (please refer to the map inside your Guidebook). Our celebration includes music, UH band appearance, and visits with Shasta! A multitude of activities will be going-on so pick and choose what you and your family would like to participate in or just sit back and relax over good conversation and food. Food and beverages will be provided. Sponsored by The Dean of Students Office

  • 5:00 pm

    UH vs. Rice Football Game, TDECU Stadium
    Join us as we cheer on the UH Cougars in TDECU Stadium!

    Family Weekend MASS, University Chapel – 122 A.D. Bruce Religion Center
    The Catholic Newman Association cordially invites students and their families for this regularly scheduled Sunday event. Parking is available in the Stadium Lot 12A and the lot 13A adjacent to the Religion Center.

    Women’s Volleyball vs. Cincinnati, Fertitta Center
    Cheer on the UH Women’s Volleyball team as little as $10/ticket. Visit the UH Cougars website for more information and to purchase tickets.
