First-Generation Mentorship Program
The Center for Student Empowerment's First-Generation Mentorship Program is dedicated to guiding and supporting new students who identify as first-generation, offering mentorship, resources, and encouragement as they navigate their college journey, get involved on campus, and adjust to campus life with confidence.
ApplyAre you interested in becoming a first-generation student mentor?
We are looking for enthusiastic mentors who identify as first-generation, are currently enrolled in at least 12 semester hours, and are classified as juniors or seniors. This is a volunteer program mentors will not be paid. If you are interested, please click here to fill out the application.
Are you looking for a mentor?
If you are a first-generation college student who is classified as a freshman, sophomore, or transferred in credits from a dual credit/college/university and are interested in having a mentor guide you through the University of Houston please click here to fill out the application.
