2015 Houston AfriFest

Houston, TX—The Nigerian American Multicultural Council is hosting the 2015 Houston AfriFest, a festival of African arts, culture and entertainment, on August 29, 2015, at Houston Baptist University from 11:00 am to 6:00 p.m.

The objective of the festival is to perpetuate the ancient wisdom and cultural heritage of Africa, and to share Africa's rich and diverse cultures with the Houston community. There will be lots of activities that focus on cross cultural education and the exposé of some of the sights and sounds that are organic to Africa. This includes food, music, dance, arts and craft from across the continent of Africa.

Several African countries will be represented, each providing education and information on their individual countries such as country currency, flag, pictures of major cities and animals, arts and craft.
