Sista Circle: Black Grads

Are you a Black woman in a graduate or professional program and have you ever wrestled with any of these questions?

  • Do you struggle to switch between who you are at home vs. who you are in your program?
  • Are you exhausted from managing different roles (e.g. wife, mother, student, employee) and struggling to balance those roles while maintaining expectations?
  • Do you ever question your abilities and whether you'll be able to finish?

If any of these sound familiar, then Sista Circle: Black Grads is for you! The Center for Diversity and Inclusion, in collaboration with Counseling and Psychological Services and the Women & Gender Resource Center are humbled to host a space for Black women in graduate and/or professional programs at the University of Houston. Participants will also have the chance to discuss topics that are relevant to the experiences of Black women graduate students and receive/offer support in community with other Black women on campus.
