The mission of UH Occupational Health Services is to promote the health and well-being of university employees and students by preventing occupational-related disease, injury, and illness through occupational health service excellence.
A subset of UH employees and students are voluntarily enrolled in an annual Occupational Health Program (OHP) based on a series of risk assessments. At current, participants include the Animal Care Operations staff and the College of Medicine faculty, staff, and students.
UH Occupational Health Services will assess health risks through the review of individual risk assessments, work histories, possible physical assessments, and biological testing. This review will establish a baseline in order to monitor future health as it relates to occupational hazards.
