The Scholars' Community consists of students who have made the decision to join an academic community that is designed to help them navigate through the Core Curriculum and to feel more a part of the University of Houston. The objectives of the Scholars' Community are to assist our students during the difficult transition from their high schools or other institutions of learning to a big-and often impersonal-urban university; to extend a support system within a large, urban campus; and to provide a smoother and more efficient path toward their degrees.
