Cullen Performance Hall prides itself as a venue for everyone in the community. As part of this goal, the theater has made it easier for patrons to reserve accessible seating locations that meet the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act on its seating chart when purchasing tickets online.

“While we’ve had ADA seating in the theater for a long time, we have a new system for reserving those seats,” said Sarah Breaux, front of house manager, CPH.
In the past, eventgoers had to call CPH to reserve an ADA spot, as they were “held” so the public would not access them accidentally.

“Now, we have the seats markers clearly labeled as ADA, so that patrons can select them without having to call the theater for assistance,” said Breaux.

Four spaces are available in the back rows of the far stage left and the far stage right sections of the orchestra area. The eight wheelchair spaces are located near the entries/exits for ease of access. Each space is paired with a companion seat next to them. Ticket buyers can choose the “Accessible” option to purchase ADA and companion seats while online.
This enhancement complements existing accessibility features for guests, such as audio streaming and closed captioning, further supporting Cullen Performance Hall’s mission to provide accessible entertainment experiences, while offering a diverse schedule of events.
