The University of Houston Staff Council is an advisory body to the President of the University and the University administration. Staff Council consists of elected staff members from each division to represent the entire staff body.

Staff Council Hosts Town Hall Meeting on METRO Light Rail at UH, Wednesday, May 27
Staff Council will host a Town Hall Meeting on campus parking options and the impact of METRO Light Rail, 10 a.m. - 12 noon, Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at the M.D. Anderson Library's Rockwell Pavilion. See the Town Hall Meeting flyer for more information or call B. Renae Milton at 713-743-1578.

2009 Staff Council Membership Nomination Form Available
The University of Houston Staff Council is currently accepting nominations for the 2009 Staff Council Elections. Download a PDF of the nomination form and send the completed form to Maria Saldana, Mail Code: 2039 – Ezekiel W. Cullen Building, Room 501G, FAX: 713-743-9196, not later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Voting in person will only be available on Tuesday, July 21, 2009.

2009 Spring Forum with President Renu Khator, Thursday, January 15
Staff Council held its 2009 Spring Forum on Thursday, January 15, 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in the University Hilton Hotel, Waldorf Astoria Room (Room 210). Staff heard directly from President Renu Khator and her cabinet members.

UH Standing Committees Preference Survey
The Staff Council Appointments Committee has implemented a Preference Survey to nominate staff to all the University standing committees that request Staff Council representation. Your response to this survey places your name in a preferred pool of staff from which the majority of nominations are drawn throughout the year. Planning Begins for 12th Annual Cougar First Impressions, August 24-25, 2009
The 2009 Cougar First Impressions will be held on Monday and Tuesday, August 24 and 25, and planning for the event takes place year-round.
