UH Ambassadors

University of Houston Ambassadors are premier student leaders that work within the Office of Admissions. Ambassadors are responsible for welcoming prospective students and guests to the University of Houston, as well as providing quality customer service to current students seeking assistance in the Welcome Center. The Ambassador program is a unique opportunity for student leaders to engage in on-campus employment while gaining transferable skills which enhance individual personal and professional goals. Arlette

Arlette is a Junior Liberal Arts Studies major pursuing minors in English, Political Science as well as Global and International Studies. Her hometown is Houston, Texas. She plans to attend Law school after graduation to study International Law. Arlette enjoys working with prospective students to help them discover and learn more about the University. She chose the University of Houston for its diversity and different ways to get involved.

Elliott

Elliott is a Sophomore Pre-Business Major. His hometown is Antwerp, Belgium. He plans to attend graduate school to study International Business Law after graduation. Elliott enjoys representing the University and being a positive role model to prospective students. He chose the University of Houston for the quality education offered at the Bauer College of Business and its affordability.

Helen

Helen is a Junior pursuing a BA in Studio Art-Graphic Communications and is also a member of the Honors College. Her hometown is San Salvador, El Salvador. She plans to attend graduate school to study Entrepreneurship to start a business aimed to benefit a cause. Helen enjoys representing the University with pride and showing prospective students what the University has to offer. She chose the University of Houston because of its competitive art program and the Honors College.

Karen

Karen is a Sophomore Education major obtaining a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. After graduation she plans to become an Elementary Teacher, as well as to work for a ministry or organization dedicated to helping children. Karen enjoys making a difference in the lives of prospective students. Her hometown is San Salvador, El Salvador. She chose the University of Houston because it was close to home.

Mahnoor

Mahnoor is a Sophomore pursuing a BA and a BBA in Broadcast Journalism and Supply Chain Management respectively. Her hometown is Houston, Texas. She plans to attend graduate school to study Law for humanitarian work and become a freelance writer for a newspaper with the hopes of one day writing a book.  Mahnoor enjoys assisting prospective students with making the decision to attend the right University. She chose the University of Houston because of its highly ranked Creative Writing program and its proximity to home.

May

May is a Junior Nutrition major obtaining a minor in Biology. Her hometown is Houston, Texas. She plans to pursue a career as a Nutritionist following graduation as well as possibly attending school to become a Physician’s Assistant. May enjoys meeting new people and learning of new cultures. She chose the University of Houston for its diversity, the Greek life involvement on campus, as well as its proximity to home.

Saveem

Saveem is a Junior, double majoring in Biology Pre-Med and Psychology, with a minor in Medicine and Society through the Honors College. Her hometown is Ann Arbor, Michigan. She plans to attend medical school after graduation to pursue a career as a Neonatal Pediatrician. Saveem enjoys giving back to the community and helping prospective students learn more about the University. She chose the University of Houston because she felt right at home.

William

William is a Senior Management Information Systems major. His hometown is Houston, Texas. He plans to attend graduate school and possibly join the Air Force after graduation. William enjoys helping prospective students make the life changing decision of choosing the right University. He chose the University of Houston for the quality education offered at the Bauer College of Business and the various job opportunities within the city of Houston.
