MarsRover

Mars Rover Celebration
The Mars Rover Celebration is an educational opportunity for elementary (grades 3-5) and middle school (grades 6-8) students to participate in the design and construction of a model rover to carry out a specific science mission on Mars. In the fall, student teams build the models as part of a six-week classroom or homework project. The activity culminates in January with students showcasing their team project at the Mars Rover Celebration at UH.

Science Engineering Fair of Houston
The Science Engineering Fair of Houston promotes the learning and application of science and technology through the development and presentation of science/engineering projects. SEFH serves as the regional fair for all public, private, charter, and home school students, grades 6-12, in Harris County and the 22 surrounding counties in Southeast Texas.

Technolochicas
TECHNOLOchicas is a necessary, focused approach that highlights the interests, strengths, and needs of Latinas. Latina girls and women in the U.S. may be avid users of technology, but they are significantly underrepresented in its creation: Latinas occupied only 2 percent of jobs in the computing workforce in 2016. This program helps to show the Latino community that their daughters can achieve the same, or even greater, success in the technology industry. "She can’t be what she can’t see."
