Dear Faculty and Staff,

On March 1, 2025, the University of Houston will rescind its Alternative Work Arrangement (Hybrid Remote Work) policy instituted on April 1, 2022. Just as before the pandemic, we will all be on campus to support our mission of educating 47,000 students and supporting thousands of researchers in carrying out their work.

This policy served us well and helped us through the global pandemic. It is time to bring our energy back to campus and help each other to spur innovation and lead the University. I wish to acknowledge that the vast majority of our colleagues are already working from campus five days a week. I thank them for leading the way in this work transition.
