 As a way of demonstrating accountability toward goals in their strategic plan, IMPACT 2027, the Office of Administration leadership releases its annual Impactful Outcomes to highlight the progress of key goal completions during a calendar year.

Highlights

• 

  Grubhub

  The University of Houston partnered with Grubhub to allow faculty, staff, and students to place orders with off-campus restaurants using their ShastaBUCKS. Additionally, there are $0 delivery fees on orders of $18 or more from eligible off-campus restaurants.

  With more than 300,000 restaurants to order from (including 500+ near UH campuses), faculty, staff, and students can get their favorite food delivered straight to their dorm/off campus residence and/or office.

  Coke Ambassador

  The University of Houston proudly acknowledges Nana Wordie, a Coca-Cola Ambassador to the UH community, for her outstanding contributions. The Outstanding Ambassador Awards honor exceptional performance by Coca-Cola Campus Ambassadors nationwide.

  Nana was distinguished from a cohort of more than 100 college students as the recipient of the esteemed Heart of the Ambassador Award. This accolade recognizes her as a true exemplar of the values associated with representing The Coca-Cola Company. Her recognition not only underscores her profound influence on her peers within the program and the broader Coca-Cola network but also the inspiring impact she has made on our university community.

  RAD Center Officially Opens

  The RAD Center was officially opened for business following a ribbon-cutting event in September. The 41,000 sq. foot, $44 million building replaces the much-loved, yet dated, underground Student Center Satellite and provides the University of Houston community with plenty of new food options and study space to aid and fuel their collegiate journey.

  The RAD Center, or the Retail, Auxiliary, and Dining Center, offers the UH community a mixture of new restaurants from UH Dining Services in Absurd Bird and Paper Lantern paired with local Houston eateries like The Burger Joint and The Taco Stand. The center also includes a market store and the Nook coffee shop. The latter being its second location on campus.

  Houston Blue Merch a Smashing Success at UH Campus Store

  The long-awaited Houston Blue apparel delivered a smashing success for the UH Campus Store. The Houston Blue gear began selling on Friday, Nov. 1, and even before doors opened, a line of eager Coogs awaited their opportunity to nab some of the Houston Blue gear. Houston Blue options included polo shirts, jerseys, hats, mini football helmets, towels, and T-shirts.     

  And while the store did not physically begin selling Houston Blue apparel until opening, online orders began at midnight. From midnight to 9 a.m., when the doors opened, the store had received 200 Houston Blue apparel orders. The sales and demand for the Houston Blue merchandise proved even more popular than last year’s Big 12 merchandise launch.
