Extras

What is an extra?

  • An extra is an extra program that you compile and run from the textbook(s), lecture, or a program you did while studying
  • Extras are NOT the same as extra credit

  • The only extra credit for this class consists of Kattis competitions (from this class only) and CoogTube videos (maximum 10 videos)

  • You should include a bried 2 - 3 sentence description at the top of your program that explains what your program does
  • There are no detailed instructions for extras and there are no specific input, command, output, or ArgumentManager files needed to submit an extra

  • Extras are optional

  • Any work done individually or as a group can be submitted as an extra
  • Extras will NOT be included in the grading system; however, at the end of the semester extras can help boost your grade if you are near the upper part of a grade range (i.e. B+ → A-)

How do I submit extras?

  • You should create a folder under your root directory called "extras". This is the folder in which you will upload all of your extras for the semester.

  • You should name the extras: extra_month_week_number. The month is the month (Fall: 8-12, Spring: 1-5). The week is the week the assignment was done (1-5). The number is the number of the extras. For example, there might be 3 extras done in one week so you would do extra_month_week_1 for the first extra, extra_month_week_2 for the second extra, and extra_month_week_3 for the third extra

  • The name of your extra must be lowercase
