Houston Corps of Cadets Hosting Veterans Day Jog

On Nov. 8, the Houston Corps of Cadets will host a three-mile jog through the University of Houston campus in commemoration of Veteran's Day and the many American troops serving near and abroad.  All active duty, veterans, reservists, National Guard, retired military, and civilian public are welcome to participate in this free jog to be held from 6-7 a.m. Donations will be accepted and will benefit the Michael E. DeBakey Houston Veteran's Medical Center and the DeGeorge House at Union Station Shelter for Homeless Veterans.

Registration will take place in front of the Garrison Hall, Room 109 entrance from 6-6:20 a.m. The jog will begin at 6:25 a.m. following opening remarks from AFROTC Detachment 003 Commander, Lt. Col. Aldru Aaron.  The three-mile route will be completed at a 9 minute, 30 second per mile pace. 

The Houston Corps of Cadets is the official association of Air Force, Army and Navy/Marine ROTC programs in the Houston metro area. With about 340 cadets and midshipmen, the Houston Corps of Cadets is the second largest Corps in the Gulf Coast region.
