Houston Furniture Bank

The Houston Furniture Bank is an organization that provides essential furniture to families in transition in partnership with Houston charities. They depend on donations to help end furniture poverty and especially strive to make sure that children have a safe and comfortable place to sleep at night. Since 1992, they have helped more than 40,000 families in need! As volunteers, we will be aiding in the putting together of furniture parts (like building IKEA furniture) to be donated.
If using the carpool, volunteers will meet in front of the Student Center South at 11:20 am and depart at 11:30 am and arrive at the event site at 12:00 pm, and volunteer until 2:00 pm. Please indicate on this sign-up form if you can provide carpool - we always need volunteer drivers! All volunteer drivers will receive one extra volunteer hour for their generosity. After the event, volunteers will return to campus and be back by 2:30 pm.
