Volunteer at Target Hunger’s Community Garden! You’ll gain hands-on experience in gardening, while helping us grow fresh produce for families in need. Target Hunger is a Houston non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger and its root causes in the community through food assistance, education and resources.
Volunteer Info:
To sign up, complete this google form AND the Target Hunger Reserve Spot/ Waiver. You’ll receive a reminder text day before event.
** Carpool drivers will get an extra volunteer hour! **
- Wear garden boots (or socks and closed-toe shoes), long pants, hat, shades, and weather-appropriate clothing.
- Bring your own water, sunscreen, bug spray, and any item you may need when working outdoors.
- Any tools needed will be provided.
- There is a restroom onsite available for use.
- Park in the gated parking lot behind the Target Hunger building.
- Event will happen rain or shine.
Transportation Timeline:
- Carpool and volunteer drivers will meet at SC South Plaza 8:25 AM
- Depart at 8:30 AM, arrive at the event site at 8:50 AM
- After the event, carpoolers will depart around 12:10 PM
