An Instructional Site of the University of Houston

UH at Katy offers undergraduate and graduate programs from the UH College of Nursing and the Cullen College of Engineering. A part of the UH main campus, UH at Katy is located near the Grand Parkway and I-10 in the Katy Academic Building, a shared space with UH Victoria which offers its own unique programs.

Program Highlight

Systems Engineering

Students in the Systems Engineering program learn a blend of core engineering, stats, optimization, system approaches, and risk management. They’re taught by professors actively conducting research in areas such as health care and medical decision making, homeland and port security, energy, logistics and manufacturing.

UH/HCC Engineering Academy

The UH Cullen College of Engineering and Houston Community College are proud to announce a new transition partnership for students to earn a valuable Engineering degree from the University of Houston.

Students admitted to the Engineering Academy are UH Cullen College of Engineering Students from the first day. Classes are taught at the HCC Katy campus and the UH at Katy instructional site at various times.

Undergrad Student Joins Faculty Member, Heart Association in Researching Dementia

The American Heart Association (AHA) selected an undergraduate student from the University of Houston College of Nursing to provide research on improving the lives of elderly people with dementia. Yolanda Batz was awarded the research opportunity through the AHA's Hispanic Serving Institutions Scholars program. "The AHA placed me with Dr. Cheryl Brohard as my research mentor," Batz said.
