Semester Information


UH at Katy is an instructional site of the University--part of the UH central campus.

The three-story, 80,000-square-foot-facility is home to programs from the UH College of Nursing and the UH Cullen College of Engineering. Programs include Nursing’s traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Engineering’s prestigious Subsea Engineering program—the first of its kind in the nation.

Groundbreaking began in May of 2018. The facility was completed in fall 2019.

Located on 46 acres near the Grand Parkway & I-10, UH at Katy shares the facility with the University of Houston-Victoria at Katy, which offers its own unique programs.

UH/HCC Engineering Academy

The UH Cullen College of Engineering and Houston Community College are proud to announce a new transition partnership for students to earn a valuable Engineering degree from the University of Houston. Applications are being accepted for Fall 2020.

Students admitted to the Engineering Academy are UH Cullen College of Engineering Students from the first day. Classes are taught at the HCC Katy campus and the UH at Katy instructional site at various times.

First Doctoral Degree in Nursing at UH Approved

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has voted unanimously to approve the new Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at the University of Houston College of Nursing. The DNP is a practice doctorate that will prepare family nurse practitioners (FNP) and nurse executives to address the shortages of primary care providers, nursing educators and leaders in a complex health care environment.
