Faculty and Staff, For those of you who are transitioning back to campus this summer, here are some helpful tips and information you need to know. Make Sure You Have a Valid PermitA valid permit is required to park on campus, unless you elect to use paid visitor parking. If you do not have a permit but need one this summer, you can purchase a 2020-2021 annual permit at a prorated cost. This permit will expire Aug. 15, 2021. You can purchase a permit in your myParking account or at our customer service location in University Lofts. If you buy one online, you will need to pick it up at our Lofts office. Please use our virtual line service and follow campus COVID-19 guidelines for your visit to our office. Important Info for Gated, Garage and Reserved PermitsPlease note: If you purchase a 2020-2021 gated, garage or reserved permit for the remainder of the summer, it will automatically renew for the upcoming year, so please DO NOT purchase the same permit for 2021-2022 in your myParking account. Relaxed Parking Rules in Effect Until Aug. 23, 2021From now until 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, which is the first day of the fall semester, anyone with a valid UH parking permit can park in any of the ungated lots at anytime, with the exception of restricted spaces, which include reserved, disabled, 20-minute unloading and metered spaces. Also, please know that if you choose to park in a metered space, you must pay the meter, even if you have a valid UH permit. Stay Cougar Safe When Parking
