A campus power event affected network devices and security equipment at RLH Quad Complex. The following is a facilities outage notification communication: 

QUAD COMPLEX (555, 556, 557, 558 & 559)

OUTAGE PURPOSE: Quad complex is experiencing a complete power outage due to a major electrical interruption.  Arrangements are being made for a temporary power unit to be installed at the complex.

OUTAGE IMPACT: This outage will impact the Quad complex including residential Settegast and Taub Halls. There will be no electric service, steam or heat to the complex – water will not be affected. The outage duration is anticipated to last 24 hours.  Outage to begin Sunday, at 1pm, and end Monday, 1pm.  This may be subject to change; Facilities Communications will update as more information is available. 

Network and system monitoring indicates some of the complex may have network service. Settegast, Taub and Oberholtzer may have some network service. Currently Law Hall and Bates Hall are without any network services. UIT technical support will evaluate network and security services. Depending on power availability network equipment will be re-energized where possible. 

Yesterday afternoon, UIT technician reports that senior residents have been moved from the Quads Residence.

FIXIT staff reports the scheduled power outage at the Quads will end at at 1:00 PM today, Monday, November 6, 2017.
