Network devices in the campus Central, Athletic, Arts, and Professional Districts did not recover after scheduled campus electrical maintenance began. UH facilities electrical personnel are conducting scheduled maintenance on campus electrical power systems today. 

Buildings in the districts with network equipment that did not recover after switching and transfers include:

Science & Research 2, College of Technology, Technology Annex, School of Communications, Law Library, Fertitta Center, and the Graduate School of Social Work.

UiT technical support is in route to re-establish network services to those afffected locations. Currently an estimated time to recover service has not been determined. 

Additional network service outages may occur in the stated locations when campus electricians complete their project later today. UiT support will address any outages stemming from the completed maintenance at that time.

UiT technical support restored network service to affected equipment in the College of Technology, Technology Annex, School of Communications, Fertitta Center, and the Graduate School of Social Work. Investigations of Science and Research Building 2, and the Law Center Library found network closets to be without power. Facilities personnel were notifed to re-energize the circuits in these individual IT closets. UiT technical support was then informed that electricians would address this issue later in the afternoon at the end of the maintenance period.

The remaining network equipment offline in the Law Library required campus electricians to restore circuit power to a network closet. Once the power to the closet was re-established UiT technical support powered on the network devices restoring service. All other campus districts network service affected by the maintenance have been restored.
