The University of Houston is just three miles from downtown Houston, 10 minutes from William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), and 35 minutes from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

Parking

Parking will be at the University of Houston Welcome Center garage.

Friday, October 28:
Parking will be validated.

Saturday, October 29:
Due to a home football game, we are unable to validate parking on Saturday.
Participants will have to pay $20 for all-day parking in the Welcome Center garage.
On Saturday, conference attendees who are driving in should avoid Scott Street and Cullen Boulevard.
We recommend attendees exit campus using the 527 Spur 5 at the end of the conference.

Traveling to Houston/Hotel Accommodations

Air Travel

Houston is served by two major airports- the William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) and the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and is the only city in the Western Hemisphere to have two four-star Skytrax rated airports. Hobby Airport (HOU) is conveniently located eight miles from campus and is served by four airlines, most notably Southwest. Located 23 miles from campus, Bush Intercontinental is served by 26 airlines and was recently ranked as the second-best airport in North America by Skytrax.

Ground Transportation

For up-to-date information on navigating the airports and ground transportation options available, click here for IAH, and click here for HOU. If you are picking up a rental car, please allot time for the shuttle that will take you from outside the baggage claim area to the rental car facility. Travel by taxi/Uber/Lyft from IAH to UH should range from $35-60, depending on the time of day. Travel from HOU to campus should range from $20-30.
