Experience Excellence at the Hilton University of Houston

As one of more than 7,215 Hilton hotels worldwide, the Hilton University of Houston stands out as the primary teaching facility for the Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership. What makes Hilton College unique? It’s the only hospitality program in the world where students gain hands-on experience in an internationally branded, full-service hotel. From guest service and hotel operations to banquet and restaurant management, this hotel offers students unparalleled learning opportunities.
Originally built in 1975, the hotel underwent a major $30.4 million expansion and renovation approved by the University of Houston System Board of Regents in 2019. This project added the five-story Centennial Tower, featuring 70 guest rooms, bringing the total number of rooms to 150. The renovation also upgraded the existing rooms in the eight-story Legacy Tower, ensuring modern comfort throughout.
The last major milestone before this expansion occurred in April 2010 when the hotel "reopened" after a $12.5 million renovation, solidifying its reputation as a premier hospitality destination.
Today, the Hilton University of Houston features 25,000 square feet of versatile event space, including six meeting rooms and three ballrooms, accommodating groups ranging from 10 to 600 people. Whether hosting meetings, banquets, receptions, or special events, this hotel offers exceptional facilities for any occasion. Guests can also enjoy business-casual dining at Eric’s Restaurant, located just off the lobby. For more intimate gatherings, the Fred Parks Boardroom provides an elegant venue for breakfast, lunch, or dinner meetings. Featuring a remarkable wine collection, this space is perfect for customized menus with wine pairings for up to 14 guests.
Conveniently located just three miles from downtown Houston and 10 minutes from William P. Hobby Airport, the Hilton University of Houston provides easy access to the city’s world-class restaurants, sports venues, and cultural attractions. It’s an ideal hotel and meeting destination for prospective students, faculty, conference attendees, UH sports fans and other visitors to the University of Houston campus.
