Diageo Learning Skills for Life
Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership is honored to partner with Diageo to offer U.S veterans Learning Skills for Life. This program is FREE to U.S. veterans living in the Houston metro area.
"As the leaders in hospitality education, the Conrad N. Hilton College takes pride in educating the future leaders of the hospitality industry. This fall we are proud to launch “Diageo – Learning Skills for Life,” a program focusing on veterans in the Houston Metro Area. The program aims to help veterans in their transition to civilian life and open doors to opportunities in hospitality. This program will provide helpful education and certifications, as well as necessary soft skills required for job seeking and placement in the largest growing industry in the world." said Magdalena Padilla, Director of Executive Programs at Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership.
Students will be taught by the expert faculty of the Hilton College in the areas of lodging, food safety, food handling, beverage management, and much more. Upon the completion of the two and a half week program, participants will have earned certifications in beverage and food handling.
Additionally, as part of the curriculum, participants will also learn soft skills, such as preparing for employment interviews, writing resumes and cover letters.
