Associate Editor of Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology, Guest Editor of Tourism  Economics and Frontiers in Psychology, and Editorial Board member for the leading hospitality and tourism journals such as International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology, Tourism Economics, and others; 
recipient of Donald Greenaway Excellence Award in 2023, Stephen Rushmore/HVS Faculty Research Award in 2021, Provost’s 50-in-5 Research Award for Faculty in 2019 and 2020, and New Faculty Research Award in 2017 at UH;
recipient of 2022 ICHRIE’s Research Award, JHTT Paper of the Year Award from International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism in 2022, Literati Outstanding Reviewer Award in 2021, Best Paper Awards at the Annual Graduate Education & Graduate Student Research Conference in Hospitality & Tourism in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, Best Paper Award (1st place) at the Korea America Hospitality & Tourism Educators Conference in 2017 and Best Paper Award at the Asia Pacific Management Conference in 2015;
