International Film Series: Roma

This international film series features contemporary tales of migration and exile as told by compelling directors and actors, offering multiple perspectives on what it means to live unmoored from the guarantees of social inclusion or the continuities of cultural tradition.
The series will present six films over two semesters, each briefly introduced by a professor from the Department of Modern & Classical Languages. An informal discussion will follow after each viewing.
Mexican film presented by Marie Theresa Hernández: Roma ( https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6155172/): A year in the life of a middle-class family’s maid in Mexico City in the early 1970s.
Movie snacks will be served!
