Le Paris Noir: Unveiling Black Histories in the City of Light

Tuesday, February 18, 2025

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Kévi Donat, licensed tour guide, podcaster, and the founder of Le Paris Noir, a series of walking tours in Paris that center on Black history and culture, offers a critical exploration of Black cultural and intellectual history in Paris. The presentation incorporates insights from two of his renowned walking tours, focusing on both banks of the Seine and critically examining the intersections of race, history, and urban transformation in the city.

Through a combination of historical analysis and contemporary reflection, Kévi Donat will provide a nuanced exploration of Black intellectual and cultural legacies in Paris. This conference invites critical engagement with the ongoing implications of race, identity, and social justice in both historical and modern contexts.

Refreshments will be available; eligible for Global Citizen Credential points.
