Education Innovation & Technology

EIT works with academic colleges, faculty and other administrative units to coordinate course and program delivery, student support services, and to provide faculty development opportunities. We also work with colleges and develop and implement Extension programs for domestic and international delivery.

EIT also serves as a liaison with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Southern Regional Electronic Board on matters related to accurate reporting and maintenance of quality standards.

Online & Special Programs

Online & Special Programs offers a variety of courses and degree programs via internet, hybrid, face-to-face and at our off-campus teaching centers. Each year, more than 20,000 UH students enroll in over 500 distance education classes, and this number is projected to increase.

Faculty and Departmental Instructional Support (FDIS)

Faculty and Departmental Instructional Support promotes and supports faculty and programs using technology to enhance the learning experience in the classroom and in the community.
